About Rebecca

Peak Performance Veterinary Physiotherapy Ltd was set up by Rebecca Douglas (Quigley). A chartered physiotherapist with a passion for animals, particularly horses.

Rebeccas career started working as a groom on various yards from racing to eventing, stud to riding schools. A keen horse rider who particularly enjoyed bringing on more difficult horses. In later years the passion for horses was still there and as a child who once wanted to train as a vet found herself embarking on a long training route into veterinary Physiotherapy. The training started back in 2010 with a Bsc honours degree in Physiotherapy at the university of Northumbria (human) followed by a career in the NHS working in various departments treating a huge range of conditions. Whilst working in the NHS Rebecca started her post graduate diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Liverpool University. This enabled Rebecca to register as an ACPAT physiotherapist (association of chartered physiotherapists in animal therapy) after a 6 year long training pathway. Rebecca gradually built up her private business and was able to leave the NHS in January 2019 to fulfil her dream of working full time self employed treating both people and animals.
